Meet In Hee Song, DMD, MD

Dr. Song is a board-certified oral surgeon who enjoys seeing the immediate and beneficial effects he brings to others through oral surgery.

About Dr. Song

Dr. Song was born in Korea and grew up in Guatemala from the age of four until college. Since high school, he knew that he wanted to be a physician and deliver exceptional medical care to the underserved in Latin America. Having grown up in Latin America, Dr. Song saw first-hand the vast disparities in the socioeconomic circumstances and health conditions people faced. At an early age, he participated in humanitarian and Christian missions in Mexico, Nicaragua, and Guatemala, where he discovered his affinity for dentistry while serving as a Spanish interpreter for missionaries.

Upon entering dental school, Dr. Song fell in love with oral surgery and the vast complexities of procedures he can perform, from in-office to hospital cases. Dr. Song joined Golden Foothills Oral, Facial, & Dental Implant Surgery in 2020 because he wanted to work alongside like-minded clinicians who place morals and ethics over financial goals, and who are dedicated to patient care. He is proud to be a part of a team with shared ambitions and autonomy to make and deliver top-notch care to every patient.

When working with a nervous patient, Dr. Song observes and listens to the patient tell their story. He finds that much dental phobia stems from a traumatic past experience where there was a disconnect between patient and provider. Dr. Song strives to bridge this gap and, by listening to his patients and connecting with them, he ensures a positive and comfortable surgical experience. The gratification that Dr. Song feels from seeing the immediate effects of oral surgery is incredibly rewarding. From relieving a toothache with extraction to life-changing craniofacial surgeries, he sees the difference it makes and feels honored to serve his community.

Education & Residency

Following his dual degrees, he completed a general surgery internship in 2017 and his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency in 2018 at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
